Project Engineer ICOP, Inc. - 3.0 Orlando, FL Job Details 23 hours ago Qualifications Content creation for technical audiences Geotechnical engineering Technical documentation Engineer in Training Bachelor's degree Bachelor's degree in civil engineering Technical writing within technology Full Job Description Project Engineer Job Description ICOP is seeking a motivated geotechnical engineer to work within the state of Florida on the design and estimating of support of excavation, ground improvement, and foundation work. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of soil mechanics and geotechnical engineering principles. Summary Project Engineers are responsible for assisting the regional engineering manager in developing preliminary designs for bidding purposes, collaborating with estimators and salespeople in the pre-construction stage in the pursuit of value engineering ideas, and preparing final design packages under the supervision of a professional engineer. Site visits may be required to supervise installation of work. This position works closely with both the operations and sales teams.
Technical Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform preliminary designs of support of excavation, ground improvement, and other geotechnical systems under the supervision of the regional engineering manager. Prepare drawings and calculations packages for construction for support of excavation and ground improvement with supervision from principal engineers. Perform field observations of construction where appropriate. Collaborate with other engineers and professionals, both within ICOP and with outside firms, clients, and consultants.
Minimum Requirements:
BS in Civil Engineering with focus on geotechnical coursework (Masters preferred) 0-4 years relevant geotechnical experience EIT license (or expected within one year) Strong technical writing, communication skills, and interpersonal skills
