Senior Geotechnical EngineerLocation:
Orlando, FL (Jacksonville, FL also considered)

Confidential (Top‑ranked national engineering firm)The OpportunityLVI Associates is partnering with a top‑ranked, private‑sector focused engineering firm to hire a Senior Geotechnical Engineer in Orlando (or Jacksonville). You'll join a collaborative team delivering large, technically challenging, and fast‑track projects across data centers, high‑rise development, urban redevelopment, tunneling/transportation, waterfront/marine, and ground improvement.

Expect meaningful responsibility, strong mentorship, and a clear path to leadership.
What You'll DoDesign & Analysis:
Deep foundations (driven/drilled), SOE (support of excavation), earth retention/retaining walls, ground improvement (grouting, vibro, rigid inclusions, etc.), settlement and slope stability.
Investigations:
Plan/scope subsurface programs (borings/CPT), coordinate field/lab testing, and develop geotechnical models.
Reporting:
Author and review geotechnical reports, technical memos, and specifications; translate geotech findings into practical recommendations for structural/civil teams.
Construction Support:
Perform periodic site visits/inspections, respond to RFIs/submittals, and provide construction phase engineering.
Project & Client Interface:
Support project management tasks, help manage budgets/schedules, and contribute to client meetings; BD exposure for those interested.

What You'll Bring5+ years of geotechnical engineering experience in consulting/design.

B.S. in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (M.S. preferred).EIT required; P.E. in FL (or ability to obtain via comity) strongly preferred.

Hands‑on experience with SOE, ground improvement, foundation design, retaining walls, and construction support/inspection.

Proficiency with geotechnical software (gINT, PLAXIS, Slide/SLOPE/W, LPILE, GRLWEAP, etc.).Strong communication skills; able to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.

Willingness to conduct occasional fieldwork; valid driver's license.
