This 6-month contract opportunity, with potential to go perm, is ideal for an experienced building engineer with a strong HVAC background who enjoys troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and maintaining critical building systems in a fast-paced environment. Schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm , with occasional overtime and participation in a rotating on-call schedule approximately every third week.

Job Description:

Monitor, maintain, and repair building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, and fire life safety systems Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues and implement effective solutions Conduct routine inspections of building equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability Respond to service requests, equipment failures, and emergency maintenance situations Support building operations through maintenance of heating, cooling, ventilation, and related mechanical systems Complete work orders, maintenance records, and documentation accurately and timely Assist with maintaining compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company procedures Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and respond to after-hours emergencies as required Work collaboratively with facility management and vendors to support overall building performance

Must Have Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of commercial building engineering experience Strong hands-on experience with commercial HVAC systems and equipment Working knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems Experience performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting building systems Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and equipment manuals Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule and respond onsite within required timeframes Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds or more and climb ladders or stairs as needed Nice to

EPA Certification Commercial refrigeration experience Experience with building automation systems (BAS/BMS) Experience supporting Class A commercial office environments Trade school education or related technical certifications
