100% Onsite | Monday-Friday About the Opportunity We're partnering with a growing multi-discipline engineering firm in Pensacola, FL that is looking for an experienced Director of Civil Engineering to lead and grow its civil engineering practice. This is a strong opportunity for a senior civil engineering leader who wants more than just project execution. The right person will help lead the civil team , manage key infrastructure projects, build client relationships, support business growth, and stay involved in the technical side of civil design. The work is focused on municipal, county, state, and federal infrastructure projects , with a heavy emphasis on stormwater, drainage, hydrology, hydraulics, pond design, collection systems, and conveyance projects . This role is ideal for a Florida Professional Engineer who has strong technical depth, project leadership experience, and the ability to help shape the direction of a growing civil market. What You'll Be Doing Lead and support the civil engineering team on infrastructure-focused projects. Assist with the design, development, implementation, and analysis of civil engineering solutions. Perform engineering evaluations, design work, and cost estimates for awarded projects. Work on projects involving stormwater, drainage, hydrology, hydraulics, pond design, collection, and conveyance systems . Manage civil engineering projects, including budgets, schedules, deliverables, and client expectations . Prepare technical reports, progress reports, permit documentation, and supporting project materials. Work with jurisdictional agencies to determine permit requirements and support permit applications. Collaborate with engineers, designers, support staff, clients, and leadership to move projects forward. Help build and strengthen client relationships across municipal, county, state, and federal markets. Support the growth of the civil practice through strong technical leadership and market involvement. What They're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program . 15+ years of civil engineering experience . Professional Engineer license in Florida or ability to obtain Florida certification. Strong background in civil infrastructure, stormwater, drainage, hydrology, and hydraulics . Experience with pond design, collection systems, conveyance, and permitting . Prior experience managing projects, budgets, schedules, and client communication. Ability to lead technical work while also supporting team growth and client development. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft 365 , and ICPR or other Florida-approved modeling software is a plus. A leadership mindset and genuine interest in building infrastructure that impacts local communities.
