Geotechnical Branch Manager - Landfill & Solid WasteFlorida (Tampa / West Florida)An established, women-owned geotechnical and environmental consulting firm is expanding into Florida and is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Branch Manager to launch and lead a new office focused on landfill and solid waste projects.

Founded in the mid‑1990s, this firm has grown to 100+ professionals and has built a strong reputation for technical quality, integrity, and long-term client relationships. Their work spans geotechnical engineering and environmental services across transportation, education, municipal, public infrastructure, waste, and landfill projects. Giving back to the community is a core value and an active part of how they operate.

The OpportunityThis is a true office-opening role with the backing of an established firm and an active project pipeline already in place throughout Tampa and West Florida. The company is experiencing rapid growth across the Southeast and is ready to invest in the right leader to establish, grow, and shape their Florida presence.

You will have the autonomy to build the branch, develop clients, grow a team, and lead landfill and solid waste projects while being supported by a mature, technically strong organization.

Key ResponsibilitiesLaunch and lead a new Florida geotechnical office with a focus on landfill and solid waste projectsManage and grow relationships with municipal, city, county, and public-sector clientsDrive business development across solid waste, landfill, and municipal marketsRecruit, mentor, and develop engineering staff as the office growsOversee project delivery, quality standards, budgets, and schedulesCollaborate with leadership to support broader Southeast expansion effortsWhat They're Looking ForProfessional Engineer (PE) license (Florida or ability to obtain quickly)Strong background in geotechnical engineering with landfill / solid waste experienceProven experience managing projects and serving as a client-facing leaderBusiness development mindset with existing or emerging client relationships in FloridaEntrepreneurial approach with the desire to build and grow an officeExperience with municipal, city, county, and public infrastructure projectsWhy This Role?
