Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Steel Erector to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and metalworking, with the ability to read and interpret schematics. This role involves working on various construction sites, fabricating and installing metal structures, Pre-engineered metal buildings and ensuring safety standards are met throughout the project. Duties Interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications and requirements. Fabricate metal components using hand tools, press brake machines, and welding techniques Install metal structures on construction sites, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening. Operate equipment safely to lift heavy materials and components into place. Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards. Conduct regular inspections of work areas to identify potential hazards and maintain a safe working environment. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, reporting any issues or needed repairs promptly. Requirements Proven experience as a Steel Erector/Ironworker or in a similar role within the construction industry. Proficiency in reading schematics and blueprints. Familiarity with various welding techniques, particularly FCAW and Stick welding. Experience using hand tools and operating equipment Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites. Ability to work at heights and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials. Excellent teamwork skills with a commitment to quality workmanship.
