Professional Structural Steel Engineer Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Structural Steel Engineer to join our esteemed firm in the construction industry. This position demands a proficient engineer with a strong background in the design and analysis of structural steel components and systems. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of various construction projects, ensuring that all structural components meet safety standards and are constructed efficiently. Responsibilities Design and analyze structural steel frameworks and components for various construction projects. Ensure all structural designs comply with relevant safety standards, regulations, and codes. Collaborate with architects and other engineers to develop innovative structural solutions. Conduct site visits and assessments to evaluate project requirements and conditions. Prepare detailed engineering reports, calculations, and technical documentation. Review and approve shop drawings and specifications from fabricators. Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and interns on best practices and engineering principles. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution. Professional Engineer (PE) license is required; additional certifications are a plus. Texas and Florida state current PE is a huge plus and you should be willing to acquire other state licenses. Minimum of 5 years of experience in the structural steel engineering field. Proficient in structural analysis software such as
RISA 3D, RISA
Connect, RAM connection and similar tools. Strong knowledge of structural design codes, standards, and specifications such as AISC, AWS, ASCE, ACI, IBC and NDS.
