Job Description

Overview Kimley-Horn' Cumming, GA team is seeking a Structural Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our growing Telecom team. Must be willing to travel. This is not a remote position. Responsibilities Perform structural analysis and design for telecommunications, buildings, and rooftop structures Assist in preparing engineering calculations, reports, and construction drawings Support design tasks related to tower modifications, equipment upgrades, and reinforcement projects Utilize industry software such as RISA, tnxTower, AutoCAD, or similar tools for modeling and drafting Must be willing to travel and conduct field inspections and site visits to evaluate existing structures and gather data Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, on-time designs Assist with development of construction plans, specifications, and supporting documentation Apply knowledge of codes, standards, and client requirements in design work Participate in internal training, mentorship, and professional development programs Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required or ability to obtain within 12 months 1+ years of experience in structural engineering or related infrastructure Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Willingness to perform field work/site visits Why Kimley-Horn?
