Job Description

With over 40 years in Hawaii's construction industry, Civil-Mechanical Contractor is a local general engineering and building construction firm specializing in mechanical projects with the municipal, county, state and federal governments. Our discipline is in mechanical construction: water, wastewater, pumping and treatment facilities and large HVAC projects (industrial chillers, cooling towers, AHU's) and also civil and structural work.

We are seeking an enthusiastic project engineer with 3-9+ years of experience to join our team of dedicated employees.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL
  • Ensure that the technical aspect of the project is closely monitored and specification requirements are complied with by reviewing blueprints, schematics, and other documents
  • Be able to adhere to labor and material delivery production schedules
  • Maintain ideal interpersonal relationships amongst the owners, subcontractors, vendors, team associates, etc. within a schedule-intense, fast-paced environment
  • Manage and produce timely change orders, RFI's, force account work, as-built drawings, shop drawings
  • Assist in the preparation of real-time project/cost budgets and estimates
  • Understand the basic application of construction project preplanning and scheduling
  • Able to accept mentorship from co-workers and supervisors
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be able to contribute professionally to the company's goals and direction
  • Promote team building and partnership throughout each project's life

Bachelors in Engineering Degree (Mechanical or Civil preferred) from a 4-year University Fluent in English - written and speaking Proficient in
