A Civil Engineer V perfor ms difficult professional engineering work in supervising and participating in the design, construction, maintenance and operation of civil engineering projects. What You Will Do General duties include but are not limited to: Supervising preliminary and final surveys Designing structures such as reservoirs, retaining walls, bridges, culverts, tunnels, pipelines, sewers, sidewalks, highways, etc Assigning subordinate engineers and inspectors to construction projects Settling disputes between contractors and inspectors Approving construction changes There are multiple vacancies across various departments within the

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

: Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in an engineering specialty.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT

LICENSE REQUIREMENT

: Possession of an appropriate valid driver's license, as required. Possession of a valid license as a professional Civil Engineer in the State of Hawaii .

Applicants with a current out-of-state professional Civil Engineer license must obtain their Hawaii license prior to appointment.
