A Diverse Position Our clients rely on us to guide them from project inception to successful completion. As part of our team, you will be involved in every stage, from defining project scope and managing design, to procurement, financing, legal coordination, scheduling, cost control, communications, and onsite construction management. As a Project Engineer, you will work directly with the project team during the design phase, assisting with communications, procurement, and design oversight. During the pre-construction and construction phases, you'll ensure proper documentation and maintain communication channels between contractors, homeowners, and clients remain strong. This role provides the opportunity to grow your career while gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of project management. Duties & Responsibilities Assist Project Managers in coordinating project meetings, consultants, contractors, and client communications. Work with Project Manager to complete pre-design and design phase tasks. Prepare, manage, and monitor project budgets, schedules, and projections. Establish and implement quality assurance and quality control programs to ensure project standards. Oversee and manage the work of architects, engineers, other sub-consultants, and contractors. Create written communications for project stakeholders, including project bulletins and updates. Regularly update and review project schedules and budgets, including actual, committed, and projected costs. Manage the processing of clarifications, submittals, requests for information, shop drawings, change proposals, and change orders. Conduct daily site walkthroughs, complete documentation, and generate reports. Review and approve monthly payment requests from consultants and contractors, in coordination with the Project Manager. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports detailing the status of the project. Qualifications Required High School Diploma Positive, personable attitude Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; technical writing experience preferred Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Skilled in Microsoft Windows and proficient in general file management and cloud-based file sharing, particularly SharePoint Proficient in Adobe Acrobat Familiarity with using iPhones, including app management (downloading, updating, etc.) Preferred Hawaii-based experience and residence Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints Proficiency in construction scheduling and estimating software (Procore, Primavera, Microsoft Project, etc.) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification 2+ years of construction experience, especially in Residential, Condominium, and/or High-End Retail projects
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year plus bonus structure (dependent on qualifications and experience)

Education:
High School Diploma Bachelor's Degree (strongly preferred)

Honolulu - office and onsite mix Outer-island - on occasion, based on project needs
