Position OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support construction projects from design through closeout. The role focuses on coordinating engineering and construction activities, ensuring technical quality, schedule adherence, budget control, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will bridge field operations and engineering teams to deliver safe, cost-effective, and high-quality construction outcomes.

Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary engineering point of contact on assigned construction projects, coordinating design, submittals, and technical clarifications.

Review construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings for constructability and compliance with project requirements and codes.

Develop and maintain project schedules, track progress, and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to mitigate delays.

Monitor project budgets and change orders, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support the flow of accurate billing and forecasting information.

Provide on-site technical support during construction, conduct inspections, and ensure work quality meets design intent and contractual standards.

Manage submittal and RFI processes, ensuring timely review, approval, and distribution of technical documents.

Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and stakeholders to resolve design and construction issues.

Implement and enforce safety policies and quality control procedures on site, coordinating inspections and corrective actions as needed.

Prepare and maintain project documentation, including daily reports, progress logs, test reports, and closeout packages.

Support commissioning, start-up, and turnover activities, and participate in lessons-learned and continuous improvement efforts.

QualificationsBachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related engineering discipline; advanced degree or certifications a plus.3+ years of experience in construction engineering or construction management, with demonstrated involvement in civil or building projects.

Familiarity with project engineering responsibilities including submittals, RFIs, change management, and constructability reviews.

Proficiency with construction management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore) and engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM workflows).Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, building codes, specifications, and construction methods.

Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.

Proven problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations; OSHA 10/30 or equivalent certification preferred.

Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT certification is desirable but not required.
