Job Description:
Beacon Hill was founded to set a new standard in search, career placement and flexible staffing. This role supports a long-term, large-scale infrastructure and federal site development project by ensuring accurate and timely project documentation and coordination. The Project Engineer will work in a structured, office-based environment during the early phases of the project, focusing heavily on document control, compliance, and preconstruction planning. Team members play a critical role in maintaining organization, accuracy, and consistency across project documentation, helping ensure the project is positioned for successful execution once construction begins. Comprehensive onboarding and training will be provided to ensure success in the role. Key Responsibilities Manage and track submittals, RFIs, and project documentation in an organized and timely manner Support development and maintenance of document control systems and tracking logs Review project specifications and ensure all documentation aligns with project requirements Assist in development of work plans, procedures, and preconstruction documentation Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and internal teams to ensure documentation accuracy Maintain records related to procurement, change orders, and project updates Support communication and alignment across project stakeholders Accurately document updates, revisions, and project changes in internal systems Participate in project meetings and assist with administrative and coordination tasks Qualifications & Skills The organization values candidates who demonstrate many of the following skills and abilities. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage documentation accurately Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts Strong organizational and time management skills Clear and professional communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Proficiency with basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office and project management tools Comfortable working in a structured, office-based environment Ability to collaborate across teams while maintaining independence in assigned responsibilities Preferred Experience (Not Required) Project Engineer or Project Coordinator experience in construction or engineering environments Exposure to document-heavy or compliance-driven projects Experience working on federal, infrastructure, or industrial projects Familiarity with Procore or similar construction management software Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
