Assist in the execution of company policies and procedures, including project specific plans and specifications, and provide technical and specialized functional support and recommendations for carrying them out.
Qualifications:
Construction Management degree or equivalent construction experience. Some field experience preferred. Elemental comprehension of cost reporting analysis Fundamental comprehension of drawings and specifications. Rudimentary understanding of building codes (i.e. UBC, ADA, etc.). Underlying knowledge of safety requirements.Strong computer skills:
Basic MS Office Suite navigation Basic meeting creation and distribution Basic critical path scheduling skills Basic document control skills Basic .pdf creation and annotation skills Good verbal and written communication skills. English - able to communicate, read and understand. Bi-lingual ability helpful (English/Spanish). Comfortability in communicating over the phone. Interdepartmental cooperation, communication and teamwork. Capacity to operate with confidentiality and discretion. Willingness to travel via air and/or ground, often on short notice, and/or work on extended field assignments. Willing to work in a fast-paced production environment; may include physical labor and extended workdays and work weeks. Maintain a regular and dependable level of attendance. Ability to interact with co-workers, clients, subcontractors, and vendors in a professional manner. Strong discipline, self-motivation, attention to detail, decision-making, recordkeeping, organization, multi-tasking, grammar, and spelling.Job Duties and Requirements:
Assist the Project Manager(s) with the following responsibilities: Draft and issue change orders Draft and issue purchase orders. Prepare and update master project schedules. Perform quantity take-offs. Job costing and reporting. Manage the project directory comprised of all project stakeholders Prepare meeting agendas and distribute meeting minutes. Attend subcontractor, client and scheduling coordination meetings. Write, issue and negotiate subcontracted scopes of work RFI and submittals review, processing, distribution and tracking. Establish vendor accounts and procurement of materials. Approve vendor invoices. Prepare for department governance audits Produce close-out documentation. Assist the Project Superintendent(s) with the following responsibilities: Daily Log creation and distribution. Observation creation and management. Enforcement of safety compliance. Quality control and quality assurance inspections. Generation of three-week lookahead schedules. Schedule equipment rental and track arrival/departure.Software Requirements include:
Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Project, Procore, Bluebeam Revu, OpenSpace, Viewpoint Spectrum. Perform other duties as assigned.Job May Require:
Ability to navigate work sites and office facilities. Bending/stooping, squatting, crawling, reaching above shoulders, kneeling and twisting Ascending to and descending from heights up to or over 100' by use of permanent or temporary stairs, ladders, aerial lifts or use of personnel hoists. Some lifting of various weights and sizes. May involve lifting above shoulders. Vision abilities include close and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Operate, finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. Hearing at levels of normal speech. Repetitive motion (to include, but not limited to): standing, walking or sitting for extended periods of time, working at a computer and typing for long periods of time. Willing to work in all types of weather. Wearing of required Personal Protective Equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, work boots, gloves, etc.).
