  • Full-time We are hiring a Construction Engineer to support field operations and engineering services across a variety of civil infrastructure and municipal construction projects.
This is a field-first, high-ownership role where you will act as the bridge between design, construction, and client stakeholders—ensuring projects are executed correctly, documented thoroughly, and delivered to standard. You will gain hands-on experience in construction observation, project coordination, and civil engineering design , while working closely with engineers, inspectors, contractors, and public agencies. Key Responsibilities Conduct on-site observation of construction activities, repairs, and testing Serve as liaison between contractors, clients, inspectors, and public agencies Monitor construction progress and ensure alignment with plans and specifications Maintain daily reports, logs, and detailed job site documentation Review and verify contractor pay applications based on completed work Track project schedules, shop drawings, and submittal logs Coordinate field activities and communicate updates across stakeholders Assist in identifying and documenting defects, deficiencies, and compliance issues Support engineering design and planning efforts during off-season or as workload requires Contribute to general civil engineering tasks and client service initiatives Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field Ability to travel to project sites within the service area (reliable transportation required) Strong organizational and documentation skills Ability to manage multiple responsibilities independently in a field environment Effective communication skills across contractors, clients, and internal teams Understanding of construction processes, site operations, and project coordination Preferred Qualifications Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or working toward licensure Internship or prior experience in construction observation, inspection, or civil projects Exposure to municipal infrastructure (roads, utilities, public works) Familiarity with construction documentation, reporting, and basic design support Experience working with contractors and public agencies
Compensation & Benefits Base Salary:
$74,000
