About the Opportunity This respected engineering firm has decades of experience providing structural engineering design services for projects across multiple sectors, including: Commercial Residential Industrial Healthcare Hospitality Primary & Higher Education Design-Build Projects The firm is known for delivering efficient, architecturally integrated structural systems while maintaining a strong focus on quality, collaboration, and client service. Position Responsibilities Lead structural engineering design and analysis for building projects of varying size and complexity Develop structural calculations, technical reports, design documentation, and construction drawings Coordinate with architects, developers, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior engineers and project staff Review designs for compliance with applicable building codes, standards, and best practices Participate in project planning, client meetings, and overall project execution Support projects throughout both design and construction phases Required Qualifications Illinois Structural Engineer (SE) License —
REQUIRED
Professional Engineer (PE) license in at least one additional state preferred 6-8+ years of structural engineering experience focused on building design Experience supporting commercial, residential, institutional, healthcare, hospitality, or similar building projects Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, building codes, and construction practices U.S. Citizen or authorized to work in the United States Seeking a long-term career opportunity with a collaborative, growth-focused organization Preferred Qualifications Strong communication and client-facing coordination skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively Experience working within collaborative, team-oriented environments Exposure to sustainable design or LEED-related projects is a plus Why Consider This Opportunity?
