About the Project Join a team leading the full transformation of the Wastewater Treatment Plant in Moline, IL—a $114 million, four-year infrastructure project that will significantly improve wastewater services for the region. This high-impact project includes total reconstruction of the existing Water Reclamation Facility, including demolition and reconstruction of all process and administrative buildings, process equipment and piping, electrical systems, site utilities, earthwork, drainage, and paving. It is the responsibility of the Project Engineer, whether the focus is on Heavy Construction (bridge work/infrastructure/wastewater treatment plant & process) to manage all Project Engineer-related duties efficiently & effectively. A successful Project Engineer is an ambitious individual with the desire to advance within the Company.
Ideal candidate:
has a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a similar field of study, or has qualifying experience
is willing to work in both a field and office setting
is computer-literate and willing to work with multiple project management, estimating, and scheduling software systems (P6 preferred)

Assist Project Manager and Site Superintendent
Submittal Review and Processing
Request for Information Processing
Requesting Change Order Information from Subcontractors
Drawing Documentation
Processing Meeting Minutes
Pre-Construction Preparation of Scopes
Other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Is well organized with an acute attention to detail
Can easily adapt to fluctuations in the workload as needed
Is a good listener and acts in a professional manner
Is eager to learn and responds in a positive manner to direction and feedback from supervisor
Is a team player with a positive attitude and desire to promote a productive work environment
Is proficient in PM Software, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam, HCSS HeavyBid, HCSS HeavyJob, Viewpoint Vista, P6, AutoCAD and various client specific websites and portals
Lives in or near the Moline, IL area Successful Project Engineer candidate:
has at least 2 years of experience in heavy construction (bridge work/infrastructure/wastewater treatment plant & process)
has expertise to take project from preconstruction to closeout
has experience in cost control, payment processes, and closeouts
possesses strong team management skills
is a self-starter
is confident and effective at delivering formal presentations in front of others
has strong problem-solving skills and seek to resolve issues with a win-win outcome
leads by example, displaying honesty and integrity
demonstrates a strong commitment to exceptional customer service
Location:
This position is based in Moline, IL, with on-site project leadership required. Candidates within driving distance are preferred; relocation assistance may be considered.
