Position not approved for third-party recruiters. Click for details Are you motivated, energetic, and ready to take your career to the next level? We are looking for a Resident Construction Engineer to be part of a growing team building B&N's Construction Service practice in Indianapolis, IN.
B&N Resident Construction Engineer Responsibilities:
Performs project manager duties with tracking costs and hours on construction projects Assists with business development, supervision and mentoring of staff and project management for the construction section Inspects, documents, and verifies that work in progress by the construction contractor is in compliance with contract documents including the plans, specifications, schedule, shop drawings and other documents Ensures construction methods and procedures are followed and that materials incorporated into project conform to the project material specifications Reviews and resolves construction issues and disputes with contractor and owner Reviews Inspector's daily report of assigned work activities, contractor labor and equipment, and quantity of materials received Utilizes engineering inspection practices to perform complicated mathematical calculations, constructability and schedule reviews, and tracking of pay items completed Performs on-site material testing and verification Create as-built record drawings Write technical reports summarizing inspection findings Prepares change orders, progress estimates, weekly reports and other associated documents for projects Creates and compiles close out / final construction records documents for submission
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program PE registration in the State of Indiana required 12+ years of construction-related experience SiteManager Software experience preferred INDOT Qualified Testing proficiencies required Valid Driver's license and good driving record Good communication skills and detail oriented Software experience with Microsoft Office and highly proficient with technical writing, office automation, software, technology, math principles, spreadsheets, and tools To learn more about B&N's Perks and Culture click here . #LI-PC1 Back to Open Positions
