Fluor is seeking a Project Engineer at the ALCOA Warrick plant in Newburgh, IN to oversee and coordinate capital improvement project work.
Salary Range:
$110,000 - $130,000 annually

We are a world-class engineering, construction, and maintenance organization providing on-site plant maintenance and engineering support at numerous industrial manufacturing facilities across the U.S. Fluor has provided plant support personnel at ALCOA Warrick in Newburgh, IN for nearly 25 years. Project Engineer job duties include the following: Perform basic project engineering functions involving monitoring of progress, preparation of procedures, documentation of communications and meetings, and identification/evaluation of project issues and problems Leads efforts of technical disciplines to ensure integrated and complete designs that meet project requirements Support design efforts with vendors and licensors to ensure proper and complete integration Create and coordinate overall project plans and schedules, and monitor activities, progress, and milestones against the plans Create and coordinate project effort hours, and cost estimates and budgets, and monitor progress and cost performance against these Prepare, deliver, and coordinate project deliverables, design documents, and bid packages Coordinate between design, procurement, and construction for integration of technical content and schedule activities Identify and evaluate issues and events that may constitute an increase or decrease in project or service scope, cost, or schedule and escalate as appropriate Prepare, as directed, documentation for meetings or communications concerning project contractual or technical issues Lead the coordination of meetings related to project operations, internal issue resolution, and communications with the client Lead internal and client project and design reviews Prepare of status and progress reports for project management, the client and Fluor's senior management Coordinate and communicate project closeout requirements to entire project team Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines. Requirements 4-year Engineering degree required (Mechanical or Electrical preferred) 4+ years Project Engineer experience required 2+ years Engineering experience in Fabrication or Construction industry preferred Excellent communication skills required Proven customer support track record required Qualifications Previous industrial experience preferred Experience in the aluminum industry is a plus Candidates local to the Newburgh, IN area highly preferred Fluor reserves the right to modify or revise the job descriptions in part or in its entirety.
