Based on experience We're hiring a Senior Structural Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity in New Orleans, LA. This role is a great fit for someone with strong civil/structural engineering experience , especially with concrete, steel, foundations, geotechnical coordination, and RISA . This person will help lead structural design work, support project deliverables, mentor junior engineers, and work closely with clients, design teams, drafting teams, and construction teams. What You'll Be Doing Lead and support structural design for steel, concrete, and foundation projects Review and interpret geotechnical reports, then translate requirements into design Direct design and drafting teams on structural deliverables Mentor younger engineers and support technical development Write specifications and create bid packages Respond to client questions and construction inquiries Develop or review structural drawings, calculations, connection details, BOMs, EWPs, and 3D model-related deliverables Support scoping documents, P6 schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and estimates Use RISA or similar structural analysis software to complete and validate designs Apply wind, seismic, and applicable structural design codes What We're Looking For BS or MS in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field Senior-level structural engineering experience Strong experience with steel, concrete, and foundation design Experience coordinating with geotechnical firms and interpreting geotechnical reports RISA experience required Experience with wind and seismic design Strong understanding of applicable structural codes and industry standards Ability to lead design teams and communicate clearly with clients, engineers, drafters, and construction teams Experience preparing calculations, drawings, specifications, bid packages, and engineering work packages Must be a US Citizen, Green Card holder or TN Visa eligible candidate Job Disclaimer Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term disability insurance, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
