Job Description

Project Engineer•New England Region (Full-Time) A growing civil and environmental contractor working across New England is seeking full‑time Project Engineers. The role includes a structured development program that provides exposure to multiple areas of the business. After completing the program, most engineers move into positions such as Assistant Project Manager, Assistant Superintendent, or Assistant Estimator. Key Responsibilities Support project managers and field supervisors through all phases of construction. Review drawings, plans, specifications, and other project documents. Assist with early project planning, constructability reviews, and development of work methods. Help prepare subcontractor bid packages and proposal materials. Participate in value‑engineering discussions. Track submittals, shop drawings, and project documentation. Validate subcontractor pay quantities and review invoices. Identify differences between field conditions and design documents and escalate as needed. Draft correspondence and assist with cost updates, progress summaries, and meeting notes. Organize project files and assist with project closeout. Support estimating tasks, including quantity takeoffs and basic proposal writing. Qualifications One to three years of related experience. Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, environmental science, or a similar field preferred. Strong communication skills and ability to interpret technical documents.
