Job Description

As an Engineering Project Coordinator, you will assist in managing project submittals, tracking production timelines, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring seamless project execution. This role requires a dynamic professional who can multitask effectively while maintaining precision and organization. You'll interact with a wide range of stakeholders—contractors, field teams, government agencies, and internal departments—via email, phone, and in person. Key Responsibilities Project Coordination & Submittals Interpret and analyze blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Review job scope and specifications prior to submittal Create, manage, review, and approve submittal packages Compose and send submittals for approval and manage correspondence Obtain and track signed approvals for equipment, drawings, and site requirements Project Tracking & Execution Monitor and track production timelines to ensure timely completion Maintain and update project spreadsheets daily Ensure all project documentation is accurate, current, and properly stored Release equipment to manufacturers for production Coordinate and schedule project deliveries Communication & Collaboration Serve as a key point of contact for field supervisors Communicate directly with contractors, owners, and government agencies (e.g., Corps of Engineers, NAVFAC) Collaborate with design teams, consultants, and architects Technical & Design Support Assist in designing elevator layouts for various applications Prepare and submit documentation for government projects Develop knowledge of industry codes and standards (A17.1, A18.1, B20, ADA) Additional Duties Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support project success Qualifications High School Diploma required; some college coursework preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Adobe Experience maintaining organized digital filing systems Familiarity with elevator systems preferred 2D/3D drafting experience preferred Knowledge of industry codes and standards is a plus Experience with Microsoft 365 tools Skills & Abilities Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Ability to read and interpret blueprints, codes, and technical documents Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills Reliable with excellent attendance and punctuality Effective communicator with cross-functional teams Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and deadlines Strong 2D drafting skills preferred Why Join Delaware Elevator?
