Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented Pre-Engineered Metal Building Foreman to lead field crews in the assembly and installation of pre-engineered steel structures. This position is responsible for overseeing daily job site operations, ensuring safe work practices, and coordinating the installation of prefabricated building components. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong experience in steel erection, crew supervision, and job site safety. Responsibilities Lead and supervise crews in the assembly and installation of pre-engineered metal building systems, including structural steel components Oversee daily field operations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan and direct work activities Coordinate with project managers and team members to maintain schedules and address field challenges Ensure proper use of equipment, including lifts, forklifts, hand tools, and power tools Supervise rigging, hoisting, and placement of steel components Enforce fall protection and safety protocols, including the use of harnesses and protective equipment Perform and oversee welding, cutting, and fitting of steel as needed Maintain quality control by inspecting work for accuracy and compliance with plans Keep job sites organized, safe, and in compliance with company and OSHA standards Requirements Experience supervising crews in steel erection or pre-engineered metal building construction Strong knowledge of steel installation methods, rigging, and equipment operation Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings Hands-on experience with tools, equipment, and physical demands of the trade Familiarity with OSHA standards, including fall protection and job site safety practices Leadership skills with the ability to direct crews and maintain productivity Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and ensure project milestones are met Company Overview Legacy Steel, LLC, founded on August 11, 2014, guided by strong beliefs.
