Description The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for managing engineering assignments and projects at the Aurorium Zeeland facility. The role involves concept, detail engineering, budget development, design management, and implementation of engineering projects. Role is responsible for managing complex projects from concept to start-ups. Senior Project Engineer will deliver successful projects assuring that manufacturing facilities are provided with the safest, technically sound, reliable, and cost-effective solutions.
Job Details Role Specific Responsibilities:
Leads assigned engineering projects through the full project life cycle. This position involves fulfilling a site manufacturing team member that provides technical expertise in addition to direct engineering project management and leadership on multiple active projects at any given time Manages all aspects of a project from cradle to grave by assuming complete engineering control and accountability of design, construction, and commissioning. Fulfills the role of project manager through effective collaboration, communication, organization, and coordination of projects with key stakeholders. Ensures projects are implemented safely while achieving all targets. Leads development of realistic budgets and action plans that define the project tasks and schedule to achieve the project goals and expectations. Develops an understanding of equipment and chemical processes being modified, upgraded, or installed on each project. Develops an understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements and engage appropriate internal and external subject matter experts to assure project implementation is delivered in accordance with all applicable codes. In addition to project engineering/management assignments, the candidate will support site management teams with engineering prioritization and problem-solving efforts to assist in corrective actions during manufacturing interruptions. The project engineer is expected to take responsibility and ownership for own learning and development in the spirit of continuous improvement of both self and the business Completes other project work as necessary to support safe operationsCompliance:

Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering required 7+ years of engineering experience within chemical manufacturing industry Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of capital expansion projects within a chemical manufacturing environment Demonstrated experience in budget and contractor management Demonstrated knowledge of equipment and manufacturing processes within the chemical manufacturing industry. Exhibits a passion for continuous improvement, problem solving, and taking initiative. Demonstrated experience planning and working with multi-disciplinary teams. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to adapt quickly. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
