About this FirmMy client is a long‑standing, multi‑discipline consulting firm with a strong presence across Minnesota and the surrounding region. They integrate engineering, architecture, surveying, environmental, and planning services within one organisation, allowing projects to move efficiently from initial concept to final delivery.
Their structural engineering group supports a wide variety of building and infrastructure projects, including commercial, municipal, educational, industrial, and transportation‑related work. They design using steel, concrete, masonry, precast, and timber systems, supporting both new construction and rehabilitation projects.

Key ResponsibilitiesPerform structural analysis and design across a range of building and infrastructure types using multiple material systems.
Prepare calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
Review contractor submittals and conduct site observations to ensure construction aligns with design intent.
Collaborate closely with architects, civil engineers, and other internal specialists to ensure cohesive project delivery.
Support tasks related to planning, permitting, cost estimating, and client communication.
Contribute to internal quality control and help maintain firmwide technical standards.
Provide mentorship to junior staff as appropriate.
RequirementsBachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Minimum 7+ years of structural engineering experienceProficiency with structural analysis and design software (e.g., RISA, RAM, STAAD, or comparable tools).Strong understanding of building codes, material design standards, and construction practices.
Experience producing drawings, calculations, and specifications for building and/or infrastructure projects.
Strong communication skills and ability to contribute effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Proven ability to manage deadlines, solve problems, and maintain a high standard of technical accuracy.
