Job Description

Senior Structural Project Engineer Elk River, MN (Minneapolis Metro Area) A growing and highly respected engineering firm in the Minneapolis area is seeking a Senior Structural Project Engineer to join its collaborative and innovative team environment. This is an opportunity to lead impactful structural engineering projects while working alongside a close-knit team that values technical excellence, creativity, and professional growth. The company specializes in building structures, specialty structures, civil site development, and infrastructure projects across a variety of industries. They are looking for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, mentoring junior staff, and building strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and analysis of structural engineering projects from concept through completion Collaborate with architects, contractors, construction managers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams Manage multiple projects independently, including schedules, deliverables, and client communication Oversee QA/QC processes and mentor junior engineers Conduct site visits and provide real-time engineering solutions during construction Support business development efforts and strengthen client partnerships Utilize structural analysis software, Revit, and related design technologies
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required (Master's preferred) 5-10+ years of structural engineering and project management experience Experience with concrete, steel, and wood building systems Proficiency with structural analysis and design software Minnesota PE license or ability to obtain quickly Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to travel occasionally for project work

Pay:
$95,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
