Job Description

Job Description Insight Global is looking for a Structural Engineer / Bridge Design Engineer to join a growing structural team supporting transportation and infrastructure projects across the U.S. This opportunity is ideal for a licensed Professional Engineer with MnDOT bridge experience who is looking to take the next step in responsibility, technical leadership, and long-term career growth. The role will focus primarily on bridge design, while also supporting a variety of structural and hydraulic projects. This role will assist in leading a team performing bridge design and structural engineering services for a diverse client base including cities, counties, state agencies, Departments of Transportation (with a specific focus on MnDOT), and private entities. The engineer will perform and independently check structural calculations for both new and existing structures, provide technical direction to engineering technicians in the development of design drawings, and apply innovative, efficient design approaches with a strong emphasis on quality and constructability. Responsibilities also include developing project specifications and special provisions, conducting and documenting structural inspections, and preparing inspection and evaluation reports for existing facilities. While bridge projects will comprise the primary focus of this position, the role will also support structural design and analysis for retaining walls, buildings and other vertical structures, as well as hydraulic structures such as clarifiers, tanks, dams, and weirs. The level of independent engineering judgment exercised will be commensurate with the individual's experience, with appropriate oversight provided as needed. We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
