In this role, you will leverage your expertise in civil engineering, project management, and technical drafting to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. Your proactive approach will help streamline workflows, optimize resource allocation, and foster collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional passionate about delivering innovative solutions in water treatment, wastewater management, pipeline systems, and civil infrastructure.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist the superintendent and project managers in managing multiple projects and ensuring timely completion of project deliverables. Support the superintendent in overseeing each stage of the project, from planning to execution. Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications to ensure alignment with project requirements. Manage material deliveries, inspecting received materials for quantity, quality, and compliance with contract documents. Conduct site safety audits and quality audits to ensure adherence to the company and regulatory standards. Assist in the development and updating of the project schedule; collaborate with the project manager/superintendent to create and distribute the project schedule. Inspect the project site daily for quality, production, and safety, identifying areas for improvement. Work with the appropriate individuals and subcontractors to implement corrective actions. Participate in weekly progress meetings, providing updates on site activities and project milestones. Plan, schedule, and coordinate work groups on the job site to ensure effective and efficient workflow. Assist in maintaining project records, including daily reports, photographs, submittals, pay applications, and Requests for Information (RFIs). Support the creation and review of change orders and as-built data for project manager review. Provide field support and oversee subcontractor operations to ensure quality and adherence to project specifications. Assist with the pre-construction and bidding processes, ensuring that all necessary project information is included.
Education and Experience:
Degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field. Minimum 1 year of experience in project engineering, field engineering, or a similar role within the construction and development industry. Strong management, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, and other relevant construction software.
Pay:
Up to $70,000.00 per year
