We are seeking motivated engineering graduates who are interested in participating in large-scale industrial projects and building a long-term career in manufacturing, biotechnology, and project management. Position Summary The Assistant Project Engineer will support plant expansion projects, new facility construction, equipment installation, and engineering improvement initiatives at our Cape Girardeau manufacturing site. This role will work closely with engineering, operations, contractors, vendors, and global project teams. The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese, possesses a strong engineering background, and is eager to develop practical experience in large-scale industrial project execution. Key Responsibilities Support plant expansion and capital project activities from planning through execution. Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, vendors, and construction partners. Assist in project scheduling, documentation, progress tracking, and reporting. Participate in equipment installation, commissioning, and start-up activities. Support engineering drawing reviews, technical documentation, and project records management. Monitor project progress and identify potential risks or delays. Assist in communication and coordination between U.S. and international project teams. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to production, utilities, safety, and engineering systems. Perform other project-related assignments as required. Qualifications Required Bachelor's or Master's degree in: Chemical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Industrial Engineering Bioengineering Biotechnology Engineering Process Engineering Or other related engineering disciplines Fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work on-site in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Willingness to learn and work in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Internship or project experience related to manufacturing, construction, engineering, or industrial operations. Familiarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Microsoft Project, or similar engineering software. Experience working in multicultural or international environments. Interest in biotechnology, fermentation, or industrial manufacturing. What You'll Gain Direct involvement in major plant expansion and construction projects.
