We are committed to providing exceptional service and ensuring our properties are in top condition. We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial Building Engineer to join our team and contribute to our mission of excellence. As a Commercial Building Engineer, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks across our commercial properties. Your role will involve responding to maintenance requests, providing HVAC support, coordinating with third-party vendors, and handling various repair and maintenance duties. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with strong technical skills and a commitment to quality service.
Job duties include:
Completing all maintenance requests within 48 hours unless circumstances dictate otherwise Providing HVAC related assistance - filter replacement, reviewing Building Automation Systems, temperature adjustments, etc Coordinating with 3rd party vendors for complex trade work Repairing/replacing locks, adjusting door hardware and general carpentry skills Troubleshooting plumbing problems and attending to minor plumbing repairs - changing seatings, unclogging drains/toilets, etc Changing out light bulbs, lamps, shields, ballast, etc Replacing/installing carpet squares or vinyl floor tiles Performs minor painting work
Competencies:
Proven experience in commercial maintenance or a similar role. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance procedures. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues effectively and efficiently. Experience with Building Automation Systems and building access software is a plus. Proficient in basic carpentry and sheet rock repair techniques. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Relevant certifications or technical training in HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, or related fields is preferred.
