Job Description
The Intermediate Structural Engineer supports the design and execution of the structural designs for industrial projects and works closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver efficient and cost-effective solutions. Key Responsibilities Design steel and concrete structures and foundations for industrial systems. Develop conceptual designs resulting in optimal layouts and reduced costs. Review and provide structural input on mechanical drawings, layouts, and vendor proposals. Prepare calculations, hand and /or CAD sketches, and direct designers in developing project drawings. Participate in project meetings and coordinate with internal teams. Travel to project sites as needed Leadership Responsibilities Lead portions of projects by developing the designs and coordinating with engineers and 3D designers. Review work (calculations, models, drawings) and provide feedback. Track project hours, budgets, and schedules. Assist with estimates and change orders. Act as Engineer of Record (as licensed) and support department management when needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering 5 to 10 years of experience in structural design (industrial preferred) PE license required or in progress Good knowledge of current codes - AISC (Steel), ACI (Concrete), and ASCE 7 Good knowledge of SAP2000, RISA-3D and STAAD.Pro Working knowledge of Revit for BIM coordination Benefits Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance Company-paid Life and AD&D insurance Long-term disability coverage 401(k) with company match Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) and sick leave Relocation assistance
