Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Structural Engineer or Structural Engineer This position will be located at our Aeronautics Systems Sector in Iuka, MS. This position is on a night shift, 4x10 schedule Monday to Thursday 2pm-12:30am.

Key responsibilities:

Candidate should be knowledgeable in classical static strength hand analysis, Durability and Damage Tolerance (DaDT) analysis, and finite element modeling and analysis for discrepant detail parts and assemblies fabricated from metal and composite materials. Should be able to develop and document detailed structural analyses in support of aircraft repairs including but not limited to free body diagrams, internal or external loading, shear and moment diagrams, and calculation of internal stresses. Analyses will be in support of Material Review Board (MRB), and Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP). Aircraft structural design criteria, and nonstandard repair and equivalent strength analysis background is a plus. Candidate must be able to collaborate in a team environment, prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish the project result, prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplish them simultaneously, comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions. signature is a plus. This requisition may be filled as either a Associate Structural Engineer (level 1) or Structural Engineer (level 2) based on the qualifications below. Basic Qualifications for an Associate Structural Engineer A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria.

The candidate must:

Be completing or has completed their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution by August 2026 Be majoring in or having majored in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or similar STEM degree Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite). Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access is required to start.
