Job Description
Actively seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineer/Project Manager to join our growing civil team in Asheville, North Carolina. This individual will be working on unique and rewarding projects in and around the Asheville region. Our projects include civil site designs for new and renovated parks, playgrounds, athletic fields, sports courts, schools/colleges/universities, buildings, sidewalks, streets, and other various types of site plans.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering. 4+ years of related experience. Perform and/or oversee civil/site design for a variety of projects, including parks, playgrounds, athletic fields, sports courts, schools/colleges/universities, buildings, sidewalks, and streets. Design various site plans, features, and details using Civil 3D or other computer-aided design software. Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, or other topographical or geological data. Review existing conditions to identify engineering obstacles and assess potential project impacts. Design grades for new site plans and improvements. Support field activities for our construction inspection staff, including providing timely data, shop drawing review, and client coordination. Preferred Qualifications:
Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina or the ability to get licensed through reciprocity. 6+ years of related experience. Stormwater design to support various project types. Ability to perform hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, as required. Proficient in hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software. Operate under limited supervision. Proven ability to multitask, appropriately prioritize workflow, and complete tasks on schedule and within budget.
