Structural Engineer Job Description We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our growing firm in the Charlotte, NC area as a full-time employee. This role requires a minimum of 5-10 years of structural design experience. Responsibilities Independently perform structural analysis and design in accordance with current code requirements and accepted engineering standards using both manual and computer methods. Prepare and review structural plans, sections, details, elevations, and edit specifications. Coordinate design and resolution of issues with architects and other industry consultants through excellent verbal and written communication. Professionally represent the firm at project meetings, pre-fabrication, pre-construction, and construction meetings. Perform all construction administration-related tasks including addressing RFIs and conducting site visits as required. Essential Skills 5-10 years of experience as a Professional Engineer designing commercial buildings of various types. Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit software. Excellent working knowledge of

I.B.C., ASCE 7, ACI

318, and AISC. Insight into gravity and lateral load paths in commercial buildings. Proficiency in RISA Structural Design software is preferred. Additional Skills & Qualifications BS in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on structural engineering is required. Knowledge of Light Gauge Design is a plus.
