Project Engineer

We are looking for a Civil Project Engineer with experience and enthusiasm to join our Gastonia, NC Water Resource team. As a member of the team, you will use your engineering knowledge to help design residential and commercial water resources projects. You will work on a variety of projects and collaborate with a team of like-minded professionals. You responsibilities will include but are not limited to; Create technical drawing and plans for permitting and construction of water resource projects which include design, layout, grading, drainage and erosion and sediment controls. Provide technical support during construction activities, including reviewing plans. Prepare cost estimates for all water resource projects. Develop Engineering Solutions for water resource projects Complete Environmental Permits Collaborate with engineers to design optimal plans for clients. Work with construction inspection personnel, as required, to ensure that contracted work accomplishes the intent of the design. Operate independently within a deadline driven industry. To be successful in this position, you will bring; Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program is required. EI/EIT certification is desired but is not required. 3 - 5 of related water/wastewater experience. Software experience with Microsoft Office, AutoCad, Civil 3D is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively within a team environment. Periodic day travel is required.
