Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships through regular communication, collaboration, and responsive problem-solving. Participate in the preparation and review of project proposals, cost estimates, and schedules. Oversee and assign responsibilities to team members to ensure timely and accurate project delivery. Perform detailed QA/QC checks on technical deliverables and ensure compliance with design standards. Navigate entitlement and permitting processes, including rezoning, special/conditional use permits, site plan approvals, and construction document approvals. Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance and ensuring high-quality output. Manage project budgets, invoicing, and coordination with sub-consultants. Support business development, participate in industry events and maintain existing client relationships. B.S. in Civil Engineering (BSCE) from an accredited institution. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in site/civil design, with a strong portfolio of retail, commercial, public sector, and residential projects. Expertise in site layout, grading, storm drainage, stormwater management, water and sewer utilities, and erosion control. In-depth knowledge of local entitlement and permitting regulations.
Proficiency in technical design software:
Autodesk Civil 3D (required), Hydraflow Storm Sewers/Hydrographs, WaterCAD, and Microsoft Excel. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality. Proven ability to lead and collaborate with diverse project teams. A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a passion for client service. Willingness to participate in professional development, local events, and community engagement.
