Job Description

North Jersey We are seeking a highly motivated Construction Project Engineer with strong on-site field experience and a solid background in construction project management to join our growing team in North Jersey. This is a hands-on role requiring leadership in the field, deep knowledge of local building codes, and the ability to drive projects from pre-construction through closeout. Key Responsibilities Manage construction projects from start to finish Coordinate daily on-site operations and field teams Ensure compliance with North Jersey city and municipal building codes Work closely with subcontractors, inspectors, architects, and engineers Oversee scheduling, budgeting, and cost control Review and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contracts Maintain project documentation and reporting Conduct site inspections and ensure quality control standards Enforce safety regulations and OSHA compliance Required Qualifications 1-3 years of experience as a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager in construction Strong on-site field experience (residential preferred) Proven experience in construction project management Thorough knowledge of North Jersey municipal codes and permitting processes Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents Purchase orders and materials delivery coordination.
