Job Description

Responsibilities In this role, you will contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of municipal infrastructure projects, including roadway improvements, drainage systems, water distribution networks, wastewater systems, and capital improvement programs. You will perform engineering calculations and help prepare technical reports, specifications, and construction documents to support project development. Working alongside senior staff, you will create plans, profiles, and detailed drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D, while collaborating closely with project managers and team members to maintain project schedules and efficiency. You will also support coordination efforts with municipalities, regulatory agencies, and utility providers throughout the permitting and design process.
Key responsibilities also include:
Reviewing shop drawings, RFIs, and contractor submittals with guidance from senior engineers Assisting with permit applications and agency coordination Supporting the development of cost estimates, project schedules, and budgets Attending project meetings and helping document decisions and action items During construction phases, you may provide field support by responding to contractor questions, participating in site visits, and assisting with issue resolution. All work should be completed in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements, while contributing to a collaborative team environment and ongoing professional development. Qualifications Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, along with approximately 2-4 years of experience working on municipal or public infrastructure projects. An Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is preferred, or the ability to obtain it.
Additional qualifications include:
