Assistant Project Engineer

Assistant Project Engineer Summary:

The Assistant Project Engineer supports the Project Engineer and the rest of the project team by assisting with the coordination and execution of precast projects. This is a developmental role with a high level of supervision focused on gaining experience in project workflows, document handling, technical interpretation, and communication within the precast design process.

Responsibilities:

Assist Project Engineers in executing precast design tasks Review architectural and structural drawings to understand basic project scope with guidance Learn to read and interpret construction specifications with guidance Help track project progress through design, production, and erection phases Participate in internal and external meetings, taking notes and assisting with action items Assist in preparing RFIs and submittals to clients Support the maintenance of project files and document control on the company network Review erection drawings with support Help coordinate drawings from other trades with precast work Shadow and assist precast engineers in field repair design tasks
