The Project Engineer will assist and support the Project Manager and/or Senior Project Engineer as well as the project staff in the technical day-to-day project management responsibilities of a specific project. Essential Functions- Support a team consisting of Project Manager, Project Engineers, Superintendents, and other staff
- Build relationships and communicate with owners, design partners, subcontractors, & workforce
- Review shop drawing, submittals and schedules, and process RFIs
- Monitoring the quality control, safety and environmental programs
- Understand and assist with project layout
- Identify critical work items, and procure long-lead items
- Assist with monthly billings, cash flow projections, and process change orders
- Manage document control including submittals schedules, contract documents, and shop drawings
- Assist with delivery, inventory, and warehousing of materials and equipment
- Resolve field problems and conflicts with subcontractors, suppliers, and workforce
- Instill safety as a top priority
- Maintaining as-built drawings & manuals
- Attend and/or lead meetings

- Strong communication skills both written and oral
- Must have a positive attitude and possess excellent motivations skills
- Time Management, multitasking, and prioritization are crucial
- Possess high attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in construction
- Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management, or equivalent experience
- Competent in the use of computer software applications used for project control and administration, including Microsoft Applications and Outlook
- Knowledgeable in Primavera
- Must have a valid Driver's License Working Conditions
- Location
- This project is located in Farmington, NM. Subsequent projects will be nationally based.
- Travel
- This role will be expected to travel to project locations and regional offices
- Construction site environment
- physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach and climb. Exposed to high noise levels.

- Manage and support a team consisting of Project Engineers, Superintendents, and project staff.
- Track and report project progress, budgets, and needs with Operation Managers.
- Build relationships and communicate with owners or owner's representatives.
- Identify and secure necessary approvals for all changes in project scope, budget and/or schedule.
- Provide monthly billings, cash flow projections, and process change orders.
- Assist with updating monthly schedules.
- Coordinate equipment and staff needs with regional and on-site management.
- Be familiar with all aspects of the project.
- Serve as the project representative with clients at meeting, job walks, and other meeting and correspondence.

- Manages a team of workers, including work schedules, project progress, and resource allocation
- Creates cost estimates for labor, supplies, materials and other project costs
- Collaborates with clients, Project Managers, other construction management to determine budget and timeline
- Coordinates materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers
- Creates schedules for workers and subcontractors
- Hires additional subcontractors and assign work accordingly
- Maintains a daily log for the job site's operations, reporting to management as necessary
- Makes changes in the operation as necessary to best meet construction deadlines
- Implements management techniques that are cost-effective and efficient
- Collaborates with clients, project managers, vendors, subcontractors, inspectors and staff on site and others
