Wendel is currently seeking a Bridge Engineer to join our team. This role is open in our Williamsville, Buffalo, Rochester, Albany, or Syracuse, NY offices. The successful candidate must be technically astute in transportation and/or highway engineering and have a proven background in the development of transportation and/or highway projects. This role will often perform as a technical specialist or project engineer on mid to large size projects.Responsibilities:
Performs technical discipline tasks related to bridge and bridge-related work including research, report preparation, design, and specification/plan preparation to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects. Assists with business development activities, including meeting with clients. Assists with preparing and coordinating proposal efforts to secure work. Provide mentoring and guidance for junior engineering staff.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required. 6+ years of bridge design experience. PE is a plus. Experience on NYSDOT, and Local Administered Federal Aid transportation projects. Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D experience a plus. Proficiency with Bridge Design Software Knowledge of ASSHTO and NYSDOT specifications and standards. Strong oral and written communication skills and interpersonal relationships skills.What we offer:

$87,000 - $130,000 Wendel is committed to providing fair, competitive, and market-informed compensation. The salary offered will be determined based the successful candidates' relevant education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
