The firm has a strong track record delivering design-build projects for major agencies, with a reputation for managing complex coordination between design teams, field operations, and regulatory requirements. Job Description Support Project Managers on design-build public works projects (MTA, SCA, DASNY, etc.) Coordinate between architects, engineers, consultants, and field teams Track RFIs, submittals, design revisions, and change orders throughout construction Assist with scheduling, cost tracking, and procurement of materials Review drawings and ensure alignment between design intent and field execution Help manage project documentation, logs, and reporting Support coordination of inspections, permitting, and agency compliance requirements Participate in project meetings, coordination calls, and site walkthroughs Assist with project closeout, punch lists, and final documentation Identify coordination issues early and help drive resolutions MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant A successful Project Engineer should have: 1-10 years of experience with a GC or CM (Project Engineer / APM track) Experience on design-build or design-assist projects strongly preferred Exposure to public sector or agency work in NYC (MTA, SCA, DASNY ideal) Strong understanding of construction documents, drawings, and coordination workflows Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, and project documentation processes Highly organized with strong communication skills across design + field teams Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction software Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred What's on Offer Competitive salary ranging from $140,000 to $185,000 USD annually.
