About the OpportunityThe firm specializes in the evaluation, repair, and restoration of existing structures across the five boroughs. The Senior Structural Engineer will play a key role in delivering high‑quality technical work while guiding a small team of engineers through all phases of investigation, design, and construction administration.

You will work on a diverse portfolio of projects, including:

Structural repair and rehabilitation of aging or damaged buildingsStructural forensic investigations, including failure analysis and cause‑and‑origin assessmentsBuilding envelope evaluations, façade restoration, and Local Law 11/FISP‑related workCondition assessments and due‑diligence inspections for a wide range of building typesParking garage restoration and structural upgrades (highly preferred experience) Key ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor a small team of engineers, providing technical oversight and professional developmentConduct site investigations, structural assessments, and forensic evaluationsDevelop repair and restoration design documents, calculations, and technical reportsCoordinate with architects, contractors, building owners, and other stakeholdersOversee construction administration activities, including site visits, progress reviews, and responding to RFIsEnsure compliance with NYC Building Code, DOB requirements, and industry best practicesContribute to project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control Required QualificationsActive New York State Professional Engineer (PE) LicenseSeveral years of experience working on structural repair, forensic investigation, or building envelope projects in NYCStrong understanding of existing‑building behavior, deterioration mechanisms, and restoration methodologiesProven experience leading or mentoring junior engineersExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and client interactionAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
