  • Site to support field operations on active construction projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and enjoys being at the center of project coordination, tracking critical details, and helping keep projects moving. As a Project Engineer
  • Site, you will play a key role in supporting project leadership through document control, submittals, material tracking, equipment logs, RFIs, invoice review, subcontractor coordination, and closeout support while helping ensure quality, schedule, and project execution stay on track. What You'll Do As a Project Engineer
  • Site, you will provide direct support to Project Managers and Superintendents on active construction projects, helping manage the day-to-day administrative and operational details that are critical to project success.
Project Coordination & Document Control Manage and maintain the submittal process in designated project software systems Coordinate submittals with architects, consultants, owners, subcontractors, and project teams Maintain accurate record keeping and document control for project documentation Ensure current drawings, revisions, and project documents are distributed appropriately Support organization and management of project closeout documentation Material & Equipment Tracking Maintain material tracking spreadsheets to ensure critical materials are procured, tracked, and delivered on schedule Monitor and maintain equipment logs for project operations Identify delivery delays or scheduling risks and escalate issues proactively Coordinate with project leadership and subcontractors to support schedule-critical deliveries RFI & Communication Management Administer and maintain RFI processes and logs Review RFIs for completeness and validity before issuing to architects/consultants Validate returned information and distribute updates to the project team Correspond with subcontractors and vendors relative to assigned duties Disseminate project information, reports, and updates to internal and external stakeholders Financial & Administrative Support Review and support invoice approvals Assist with subcontract reviews and insurance compliance tracking Support change order administration and maintain project logs Maintain project reports, logs, schedules, and cost-related documentation Support financial tracking and project documentation as needed Quality & Closeout Assist with QA/QC documentation and reporting Document field deficiencies and coordinate follow-up with project leadership Organize and maintain closeout packages including warranties, manuals, and turnover documentation Take jobsite photos and videos as needed for project reporting Safety & Field Support Walk job sites regularly to review project conditions and progress Identify and report unsafe conditions immediately Support supervisory teams in maintaining safety compliance and best practices Assist project leadership with field coordination and issue tracking What We're Looking For Required Experience Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent industry experience 2-5 years of construction project engineering, field engineering, or project coordination experience preferred Experience supporting active commercial, site, civil, or construction projects Strong organizational and detail management skills in a fast-paced environment Technical Skills Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel Experience with: Submittal tracking Material tracking spreadsheets Equipment logs RFI management Invoice review and approvals Record keeping and document control Closeout documentation Familiarity with subcontract agreements and insurance compliance reviews preferred Ability to read and interpret blueprints, contract documents, and project documentation Understanding of construction materials, equipment, and sequencing preferred The Right Candidate Will Bring Strong attention to detail Excellent follow-up and organizational skills A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset Ability to manage multiple priorities at once Strong communication skills with field and office teams Confidence working in a fast-paced construction environment Why Pike At Pike, we build more than projects — we build careers, teams, and opportunities for people who want to grow in construction.
