Resident Engineer Erdman Anthony - 3.9 Syracuse, NY Job Details Full-time $60 - $65 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Project reporting Construction project reporting Construction payment applications Construction payment processing Driver's License Construction submittals Construction change order management Full Job Description An experienced NICET Level IV certified Resident Engineer is needed for a NYS Thruway Authority bridge painting construction project on I-90. The Resident Engineer will complete all administrative duties involved in the coordination of the project and oversee the daily work operations of the contractor to ensure that the work is completed in accordance with the contract documents. The candidate will be a proactive self-starter and a leader to others.
Responsibilities:
Oversee contractors' work to ensure conformance with the contract documents and NYSTA standard specifications Verify all materials on-site (abrasive, primer, paint, etc.) are from an approved source Assure all surface preparations and coatings requirements comply with AMPP procedures Monitor the containment / work station for cleanliness, relative humidity, temperature, dew point, etc. Prepare Daily Work Reports documenting completed work for payment to contractor Address field and design changes as necessary Prepare engineer's diary and daily work reports Approve contractor submittals Prepare change orders, and payment estimates Hold progress meetings.
Requirements:
A valid driver's license is required A minimum of 10+ years of coatings experience NICET Level IV Certified or equivalent based on experience Experience completing daily work reports, change orders, and payment estimates Provide a detailed resume highlighting your experience
