Work Location:
District 4 Headquarters, 2088 South Arlington Road, Akron, OH 44306 Transportation Engineer 1 hire will complete ODOT's Transportation Civil Engineering Program to include a 12 month training plan & scheduled rotation through the department's core engineering disciplines; Planning & Engineering, Construction and Highway Maintenance.

You will receive a thorough introduction to the three core civil engineering disciplines. You will work alongside of ODOT professional engineers. You will receive hands-on transportation training & experience needed to further your career as an engineer with ODOT.

All bargaining unit and exempt new hires to ODOT must serve a one-year probationary period. If this position is filled internally, the wage rate will be determined in accordance with the contract. This position is overtime eligible per FLSA Standards. Valid driver's license required.
