As a Senior Bridge Engineer you will predominantly be involved with bridge or civil structure projects, but will also have exposure to different structural projects. You'll work across projects for railways, highways, related transportation projects and, of course, bridges. You'll have exposure to all sorts of duties; actively participating in: Bridge design and plan development
Field investigations, inspections, and repair recommendations
Type studies, structural designs, preliminary through detailed,including quantity calculation and construction cost estimating, load rating, construction monitoring, expert opinions related to bridges, civil structures and other structures
Not only will you be involved in a wide range of responsibilities as a bridge / structural engineer, you'll also be responsible for project management. You will be responsible for managing your own transportation and infrastructure projects as well as take a forward-facing role with the client We invite applications from candidates with the following experience: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, or equivalent, a masters in structural engineering preferred
SE license is required for IL, WV, or OH or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months
Certification as a registered professional engineer (PE) in Ohio, West Virginia, or Illinois is required
At least 10+ years of professional experience in bridge design or structural design in transportation or highways project
Experience working on structural bridge design projects in Ohio, West Virginia, or Illinois
Exposure to other structural projects is a plus
Familiarity with AutoDesk and Bentley products, and bridge design software such as
