Job Description

Are you a seasoned Electrical Foreman or Superintendent ready to take the next step in your career? Join our team as a full-time, office-based Electrical Project Engineer, where your hands-on field knowledge will be your greatest asset. This role is ideal for a field professional who's ready to bring their job-site experience into a project management setting. You'll support the Electrical Project Manager and construction team by managing project documentation, procurement, technical reviews, and coordination, all while applying your deep understanding of field execution to streamline construction planning and support. Key Responsibilities Leverage field experience to identify constructability issues early in the design and planning process. Manage and coordinate RFIs, submittals, and material procurement to support on-site teams. Review shop drawings, electrical plans, and product data with a practical, field-informed perspective. Track project milestones and maintain documentation logs for audits and progress updates. Collaborate with Superintendents, Foremen, and Subcontractors to ensure seamless office-to-field communication. Assist in negotiating change orders and resolving construction issues to maintain schedule and budget. Support safety compliance and code adherence (NFPA 70, OSHA) by bridging field insight with design expectations. Preferred Background 5+ years of electrical field experience on industrial or heavy construction projects (water treatment preferred). Former roles such as Field Electrician, Electrical Foreman, Superintendent, or Field Engineer are strongly encouraged. Familiarity with electrical distribution, motor controls, conduit layout, and installation sequencing. Strong working knowledge of NEC and OSHA standards as applied on active construction sites. Interest in transitioning to a technical and managerial role with long-term growth potential. Technical Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Bluebeam. Experience with construction management software such as Procore. AutoCAD or Revit experience is a strong plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interfacing engineers, clients, and field staff. This position is a home office position in Dayton, Ohio that works under the support and direction of the Electrical Project Manager.
