Structural Engineering Co-op Fall 2026

Students work with experienced engineers and are exposed to a variety of civil engineering challenges. They also get the opportunity to work on real world projects in a professional environment.

Pay:

$20+ an hour

STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING CO-OP ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Assist with design and engineering tasks focused on fall protection systems and related structural solutions.

Perform routine structural engineering assignments under close supervision, using established standards, procedures, and drawings in accordance with industry best practices.

Gain exposure to the full design process, including both office-based planning and documentation as well as field-based assessment and support.

Collaborate with engineering and project teams to support technical design efforts, calculations, and documentation.

Contribute to engineering reports, sketches, and CAD/BIM drawings under the guidance of senior staff.

STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING CO-OP ESSENTIAL CREDENTIALS

Education:

Required:

Currently enrolled in a Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering program at an accredited university.

Required:

Must be entering junior or senior year of undergraduate studies at the time of the co-op.

Qualifications:

Prior academic or internship experience with structural design projects preferred.

Familiarity with structural design software is required; experience with Revit is strongly preferred.

Willingness and ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Required:

U.S. citizenship

Physical:

Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.

Capable of lifting up to 15 pounds occasionally.
