Full-Time / Part-Time / Flexible (Field-Based) About Knox Engineering & Inspections Knox Engineering & Inspections has served the Tulsa region since 1983, providing structural engineering evaluations and property inspection services for residential and commercial structures. Our work is focused on delivering accurate, defensible field assessments that support real estate transactions, safety decisions, and long-term structural performance. We value technical judgment, field experience, and clear communication over corporate structure and administrative layers. Position Overview We are seeking licensed Professional Engineers (P.E.s) to perform on-site structural inspections and prepare professional engineering reports based on field observations. This role is best suited for engineers who prefer independent field work, flexible scheduling, and practical application of structural engineering principles. Responsibilities Conduct field inspections of residential and commercial structures Evaluate foundations, framing systems, load-bearing elements, and overall structural condition Identify structural concerns and document findings clearly and objectively Prepare concise engineering reports based on site observations Communicate findings to clients including homeowners, realtors, and developers Qualifications Active Oklahoma Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (required) Background in structural or civil engineering strongly preferred Ability to write clear, defensible technical reports Reliable transportation for travel within the Tulsa metro area Strong independent judgment in field conditions What We Offer Flexible scheduling (assignments based on availability) Field-focused work with minimal administrative overhead Autonomy in scheduling inspections and completing reports Opportunity to remain active in engineering practice without corporate structure Local impact supporting safety and property integrity in the Tulsa region How It Works Assignments are provided based on availability and demand.
